Welcome to the web site of the Saugus Community Track Association!
SCTA is a non-profit organization fundraising to build a new track and field area behind the Belmonte Middle School where the condemned track is presently located. Our focus is on wellness and community spirit.
The track and field will provide a safe place to exercise on level terrain for all Saugonians, young and old, including those in wheel chairs.
All athletes, track & field, and other sport teams associated with Saugus can use it for games, meets, and conditioning purposes.
It enables Saugus to initiate summer track & field programs to keep our children active, physically fit, and drug-free.
Allows the track & field teams to hold home meets and other track events instead of having to travel to other towns for every track event.
Creates safe practices for all school sport teams that use running as a means of conditioning because they will no longer have to run on busy streets.
Please support our efforts to provide Saugus with a new track.
Community spirit starts with togetherness. Come on Saugus…get on track.
UPDATE ON THE SAUGUS COMMUNITY TRACK PROJECT:
At this time we are in the process of finding an architectural company that specializes in landscape/field design. The SCTA has been working for the past several months raising money to reach this Phase I goal. We are currently awaiting word from the State House as to the $250,000 the SCTA hopes to receive through the supplemental budget.
We are seeking volunteers who are interested in helping. We need a liaison to the local newspapers, someone to take photos at meets and events, people to help with fundraising event, etc. We are open to any suggestions you may have or any services that you could offer that would help further our cause.
Please Contact Us with any questions or concerns.
